Volunteer Coordinator for Peer Mentoring Project

Do you have a passion for volunteering? Do you want to empower mental health service users and carers to deliver high quality support for their peers? Are you looking to make a significant social impact through your work?

Contract Length: 18 Months Fixed Term (six-month probationary period) Hours: 37.5 hours per week Line Manager: Operations Manager – Mind in Salford Location(s): Salford Salary: £21,000 - £26,000 per Annum (Depending on Experience) Mind in Salford is working alongside Salford Mental Health Forum to develop and deliver a high-quality peer mentoring service as part of the Living Well Salford programme.

We are looking for a talented Volunteer Coordinator who will be responsible for recruiting, training, supporting and developing peer mentors.

The successful candidate will have:

Good people skills, ability to put people first and ensure accessibility to the project

Excellent communication and listening skills, and the ability to manage


challenging conversations

Motivation, organisation, and excellent time management skills

An enhanced DBS check and comprehensive references will be required.
